Funding boost for the Diamond-backed Spider at Clumber Park
New funding from Natural England’s Species Recovery Programme has been secured by the National Trust to help secure the future of the rare Diamond-backed Spider.
Clumber Park in north Notts is the only known site in the UK for this species which was previously thought to be extinct.
The Diamond-backed Spider is an identified priority species in the Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS). The funding will enable the National Trust to create and manage the correct habitat to allow this spider to survive.
