Love nature and photography?
This summer, we are inviting amateur photographers to take part in our exciting photography competition for a chance to win a fantastic prize! Your photo will be featured on the County Council website and social media, and on the cover of the Nottinghamshire and Nottingham Local Nature Recovery Strategy.
What’s up for grabs?
The top prize includes a one-night stay for up to 3 people in a luxury pod at Holme Pierrepont Country Park, and your winning image will appear on the front cover of the Local Nature Recovery Strategy.
Who’s judging?
Our expert panel includes representatives from Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, Nottingham City Council, and the Chair of Nottinghamshire County Council.
How to enter:
Submit a photograph that captures the essence of Nottinghamshire’s natural environment, within our City, towns and villages and the surrounding countryside. Your photo can be of a general landscape or focus on a particular animal or plant species native to Nottinghamshire. Photos can include people enjoying the natural environment, but this must be with their permission.
Include a short paragraph explaining where the photo was taken and why it represents nature in our county. The following key habitats should be focussed on:
- Water and Wetland
- Urban Nature
- Farmland
- Grassland
- Woodland
- Heathland
